Unexpected musical experiences and personal encounters are trademarks of the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The festival programme includes a broad range of series and »festivals within the festival«, where visitors can discover and focus on particular elements through a wide range of supplementary activities such as guided tours, listening experiments, artist talks and discussions over several days.

Musicians on the trail of a great composer
»It should not be called Bach, but the sea!« Beethoven's famous bon mot also applies perfectly to the ten concerts that are particularly inspired by the works of Johann Sebastian Bach this summer. Festival prize-winners from Anastasia Kobekina to Nils Mönkemeyer and many others will bring pieces by the master to life, in the original and often in a completely different way.
