In 2023, the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival will once again bring international flair and important orchestras from all over the world to the entire state. The Academy of St Martin in the Fields will spend an entire weekend in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern - together with Prize Winner in Residence Martynas Levickis and Avi Avital as well as their Music Director and star violinist Joshua Bell. With the Elbphilharmonie Orchestra and the NDR Radiophilharmonie, the two most renowned orchestras in Northern Germany will be part of the summer. Daniel Hope travels to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern with his New Century Chamber Orchestra San Francisco and celebrates his 50th birthday with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra at Ulrichshusen Castle. The Bundesjugendorchester is also a guest once again and will perform a work composed especially for him by the Swedish composer Daniel Nelson with prizewinner in residence Martynas Levickis. The Camerata brings Oscar winner Klaus Maria Brandauer to Redefin, as well as Festival prize winner Veronika Eberle and Nika Goric.
