Festspielfrühling Rügen

The Festspielfrühling Rügen is the spring festival of the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and invites you to musical discoveries and personal concerts with selected artists over ten days in March. Prizewinners of the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern take over the artistic direction of the Festspielfrühling Rügen and create made-to-order programmes for the island together with musician friends and companions.

Noa Wildschut will take over the artistic direction in 2023. The young Dutch violinist was awarded the WEMAG Soloist Prize of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival in 2018 and celebrated by Anne-Sophie Mutter as "one of the musical hopes of her generation". Together with artists such as Nils Mönkemeyer and Martynas Levickis or versatile musicians from her Dutch homeland such as the border-crossing Fuse Ensemble, Wildschut can be experienced in very different exciting concerts. The exact programme will be presented on 25 July 2022.
